General Overview

We are looking for a warm, fun energetic Server to join our team. Working under the supervision of the General Manager, our Server will have a direct impact on each guest's experience. They will determine whether each guest feels welcome, appreciated, and well cared for, this is why we do what we do.

 

We will provide you with the training you need to be successful. We take great pride in our quality food and friendly, impeccable service. Essential Functions

  • Embrace our mission and vision and guide guests through their dining experience, focusing on building a relationship with the guests.
  • Possess the knowledge to answer questions regarding our menu, while demonstrating a complete knowledge of the ingredients, preparation methods, table-side cooking concepts, and beverages.
  • Maintain a high level of hospitality and professionalism with each team member and guest.
  • Enter all orders and transactions in our point-of-sale system.
  • Ensure company policy is followed regarding drinking age regulations; ensure compliance with age verification process as well as monitoring guests for intoxication.
  • Partner with the staff to serve food and beverages that exceed our guests’ expectations.
  • Provide attentive service, monitoring and observing our guest's dining experience. Ensure guests have a valuable overall experience, focusing on building the intent to return.
  • Be committed to ensuring all steps of service are followed and adhered to.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and process credit card charges.
  • Promptly address disputes and guest service issues, never losing focus on maintaining outstanding service and hospitality.
  • Be passionate about ensuring a clean, sanitized, and safe restaurant for our guests.
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and laws including health and safety standards.

Major Responsibilities / Specific Requirements

  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong experience with POS systems is a plus, but not required.
  • Possess a positive, welcoming attitude and a warm and personable presence.
  • Possess a passion for the highest level of customer service to exceed guests' expectations.
  • Teamwork abilities and team player’s mentality.
  • The ability to manage a high volume of guests.
  • Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude.
  • Must have open availability.
  • Promote the culture, values, and mission of Restaurant K.

Physical Requirements:

  • Be able to reach, bend, and frequently lift 30 pounds.
  • Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Must be able to stand for periods of up to eight (8) hours.
  • Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds at a time. 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a server in a Casual Fine Dining establishment, is plus but not required.
  • Ability to acquire a valid Texas Food Handler Card within 30 days of hiring.
