General Overview

We are assembling a passionate team to lead and serve the guests of Nuri Steakhouse, an exciting new Dallas-based steakhouse with Asian influences. Our mission is to inspire people to embrace the diverse cultures of the world, and to play a vital role in connecting our communities through these rich cultural experiences.

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cocktail Server to join our vibrant team. As a Cocktail Server, you play a crucial role in enhancing our guests' overall experience by providing exceptional service in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Your primary responsibility is to take and deliver drink orders with precision and efficiency, ensuring that guests receive top-notch service and have a memorable time at our establishment.

Essential Functions

  • Guest Service:
    • Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
    • Take and accurately record drink orders, paying attention to special requests and preferences.
    • Provide recommendations on beverages, promoting featured items and signature cocktails.
    • Ensure timely and efficient service, anticipating the needs of guests and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Beverage Preparation:
    • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, and other specialty drinks.
    • Adhere to standard recipes and presentation guidelines to maintain consistency.
    • Handle and pour alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to legal regulations and establishment policies.
  • Cleanliness and Organization:
    • Keep workstations, bar areas, and service areas clean and organized.
    • Monitor and restock supplies, such as glassware, garnishes, and napkins, to ensure smooth operations.
    • Dispose of waste and used materials responsibly, following sanitation guidelines.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Effectively communicate with the kitchen, bar staff, and other team members to coordinate orders and ensure a seamless dining experience.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to handle high-volume periods and special events.
  • Upselling and Promotion:
    • Promote daily specials, promotions, and events to maximize sales opportunities.
    • Suggest additional items to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
    • Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and laws including health and safety standards.

Major Responsibilities / Specific Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role or hospitality industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology, and beverage service standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a high-energy environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Understanding of responsible alcohol service and compliance with legal regulations.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Minimum of two (2)+ years working experience as a bartender.
  • Ability to acquire a valid Texas Food Handler Card and TABC within 30 days of hiring.
  • Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training is a plus but not required.
  • One year of related experience preferred, but not required.
