General Overview

We are assembling a passionate team to lead and serve the guests of Nuri Steakhouse, an exciting new Dallas-based steakhouse with Asian influences. Our mission is to inspire people to embrace the diverse cultures of the world, and to play a vital role in connecting our communities through these rich cultural experiences.

 

We are currently seeking a warm, fun energetic Server Assistant to join our team. Working under the supervision of the General Manager, the Server Assistant is responsible for helping servers maintain steps of service for our guests. Work alongside service and support staff to provide a great dining experience to restaurant guests, while maintaining a professional attitude and work environment.

We will provide you with the training you need to be successful. We take great pride in our quality food and friendly, impeccable service. Essential Functions

  • Monitor and observe guests' dining experience to ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service and respond promptly and courteously to correct any problems.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables and dining area around guests, with primary responsibilities to assigned station.
  • Must maintain a professional and welcoming attitude while at work.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays.
  • Maintain an equally balanced presence between the kitchen and floor whenever possible.
  • Assist with delivery and serving of all food items to appropriate guests.
  • Removes soiled dishes and utensils between courses.
  • Ensure that tables are clear and clean, and reset promptly between seats.
  • Must be able to discuss and instruct each guest using the scripts about the appropriate table-side items served.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and general service areas.
  • Upholds a high sanitation and safety standard.
  • May be cross-trained as/called upon to execute duties in other positions when necessary.
  • Assist host or hostess by answering phones to take reservations or to-go orders, and by greeting, seating, and thanking guests.
  • Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and laws including health and safety standards.

Major Responsibilities / Specific Requirements

  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong experience with POS systems is a plus, but not required.
  • Possess a positive, welcoming attitude and a warm and personable presence.
  • Possess a passion for the highest level of customer service to exceed guest's expectations.
  • Teamwork abilities and team player’s mentality.
  • The ability to manage a high volume of guests.
  • The ability to handle any special requests.
  • Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude.
  • Must have open availability.
  • Promote the culture, values, and mission of Restaurant K.

 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a server in a Casual Fine Dining establishment is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to acquire a valid Texas Food Handler Card within 30 days of hiring.
  • To inspire people to embrace different cultures of the world.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Be able to reach, bend, and frequently lift 30 pounds.
  • Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Must be able to stand for periods of up to eight (8) hours.
  • Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds at a time.
