The General Manager is responsible for leading daily operations, ensuring seamless service, operational excellence, and a world-class guest experience. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong financial acumen, a passion for hospitality, and a proven ability to drive both team performance and restaurant profitability. This role demands a balance of operational oversight, staff development, and guest engagement to maintain Nuri’s reputation for excellence.

Essential Functions

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a industry-leading team by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training front-of-house team.
  • Oversee scheduling to ensure optimal coverage while balancing labor costs and guest experience.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing clear feedback, coaching, and growth opportunities.
  • Enforce company policies with consistency, handling disciplinary actions and terminations professionally and in alignment with organizational standards.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability to uphold Nuri Steakhouse’s fine dining standards.
  • Handle discipline and termination of team members in accordance with company policy.

 

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management:
    • Oversee and manage all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including staffing, inventory, guest experience, and overall service flow.
    • Implement and uphold operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, consistency, and adherence to fine dining standards.
  • Staff Leadership and Development:
    • Recruit, train, and manage front-of-house team.
    • Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and ongoing coaching to build a high-performing, engaged team.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations, address performance concerns, and implement training programs for continuous staff development.
  • Customer Service Excellence:
    • Maintain exceptional customer service standards by maintaining high standards of hospitality.
    • Address customer concerns and feedback promptly and professionally, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
    • Monitor and maintain a pristine, welcoming, and well-organized restaurant environment.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage restaurant budgets, including forecasting, cost control, and monitoring financial performance.
    • Control operating costs and optimize revenue streams to maximize profitability while maintaining quality.
    • COnfirm and submit payroll for all team members, ensuring accuracy in timekeeping, tip distribution, and compliance with wage regulations.
  • Marketing and Promotions:
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute promotional strategies that drive guest traffic and enhance brand visibility.
    • Build relationships within the local community and industry partners to strengthen Nuri Steakhouse’s reputation.
  • Menu and Quality Control: 
    •  
    • Work closely with the culinary team to develop, refine, and update menus in alignment with seasonal offerings and guest preferences.
    • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and adherence to established standards.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations to protect guests and staff.
    • Stay informed about licensing, labor laws, and industry regulations, maintaining all necessary permits.
    • Enforce security procedures to safeguard assets, guests, and employees.

Major Responsibilities / Specific Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in high-end or fine dining restaurant operations.
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to mentor, train, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and guest service skills, with a focus on delivering a world-class dining experience.
  • Strong business acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Deep understanding of food safety, health regulations, and operational compliance.
  • Proficient in restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
  • Promote the culture, values, and mission of Restaurant K ensuring alignment with company standards.
  • To inspire people to embrace different cultures of the world.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Possess a current Food Handler’s and TABC certification before starting work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in fine dining restaurant management.
  • Proven track record of leading success-oriented teams and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Business acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
  • Experience with restaurant technology systems, POS systems, and operational reporting tools.
